Today (January 29th, 2020) is Bell Let's Talk day. A great initiative to open up the discussion about Mental Health. Far more of us go through mental health issues than most realize or care to admit. That is why this is such an important topic to bring up - all of us have been affected by Mental Health to some capacity, whether it be ourselves, or someone we know.
At CrossFit Orangeville, we are very clearly in the business of health and fitness. We spend a great deal of time focusing on improving the lives of every member that walks through our doors. This includes mental health as well. Not only does physical fitness help improve our mental health, but being around others and striking up conversations helps too. Many of us have become quite close to not only the members around us in the gym, but with our coaches and staff members as well.
I want to personally welcome any of our members to come talk to me, or any of our other staff at any time, about anything that is going on in your life. Going through tough times is nobody's business but your own, but do realize that opening up and speaking to those around you helps tremendously.
I personally have been involved in so many of your lives, and understand the struggles that many of you go through. I take personal matters very seriously, and will continue to do whatever I can to help, while at the same time, trusting and believing in the process, which includes the upmost privacy and confidentiality.
I don't know who needs to hear or read this today, but know that I am always here to help.
