Programming Changes Coming in January 2020

Introducing CrossFit Orangeville's Training Tracks!

Our newly established "tracks" will give our CrossFit Orangeville members more options to optimize their health and fitness based on their individual goals, while maintaining the core focus of CrossFit Orangeville’s programming.

Every day, members will be presented with 3 different “tracks” to choose from in ZenPlanner. The timing, pacing, and instruction during class will continue as it always has, there may just be differences in what primary focus each individual member is working towards.

Engine Builder

This track is for the members who wish to spend more time working on their cardiovascular endurance and stamina. It will be strongly linked to our good ol’ fashioned regular programming, but with more of an emphasis on building stamina and endurance.

Traditional

This is our regular CrossFit programming. It will continue just as it has been since CrossFit Orangeville first began. This is the track most newcomers should focus on, as the primary focus will be working on skills, technique, and strength.

Strength Builder

This training track is intended for those members who wish to get stronger and build muscle. We take our traditional CrossFit programming and increase the intensity and frequency in which weightlifting (moving external objects) is involved.

F.A.Q.

Do you need to stick with one specific track every single day?

Not necessarily. However, in order to maximize your potential and improvement towards one specific goal, your intention should be to stick with one specific track for a minimum of 3-4 weeks at a time before considering switching tracks.

What would a typical Engine Builder workout look like?

If the Traditional track for the day is the following:

5 rounds for time:

5 rounds for time:

8 Power Snatch (95/65)

10 Bar Facing Burpees

14/11 Calorie Assault Bike

What would a typical Strength Builder workout look like?

If the Traditional track for the day is the following:

5 rounds for time:

4 Power Snatch (135/95)

8 Bar Facing Burpees

12/9 Calorie Assault Bike

The Strength Builder workout may look something like this:
